FY 2020 Phase I Principal Investigator Meetings
Each year the Department of Energy (DOE) SBIR/STTR Programs organizes a two-day Principal Investigator (PI) Meeting for all the small businesses that are awarded a Phase I SBIR or STTR grant that year. There are two PI Meetings per year, one for Phase I Release 1 and one for Phase I Release 2. Only Phase I Release 1 awardees can participate to the Phase I Release 1 PI Meeting. Only Phase I Release 2 awardees can participate to the Phase I Release 2 PI Meeting.
All PI’s and their respective DOE Program Managers are expected to attend the PI Meeting. Program Managers from other DOE Programs may also attend. Representatives from the Phase I small business other than the PI may also attend.
The objectives of the meeting are to provide:
- Face to face meetings between PI’s and DOE Program Managers.
- Face to face meetings between PI’s and the DOE Commercialization Assistance Vendor.
- Networking meetings with commercialization professionals, Government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Presentations on Phase II requirements (Phase II application, contracting, IP) and other areas of interest (success stories, financing, partnering with the DOE Labs, planning for Phase III).
-
Attendees must register to attend the meeting, using the meeting website.
