2024 Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Principal Investigator Exchange Meetings

The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Nuclear Physics (NP) program organized a two day in-person information meetings between the Principal Investigators with active award supported by NP, NP Federal Program Managers and the Facility and Project Management Division Director. A total of seventeen PI talks were presented over the two day meeting. All PIs were scheduled to present talks describing current status of work funded by NP under FY 2023 funding opportunity announcement FY2023 FOA (DE-FOA-0002875), “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Autonomous Optimization and Control of Accelerators and Detectors”, and FY2021 FOA (DE-FOA-0002490)“Data Analytics for autonomous Optimization and Control of Accelerators and Detectors. Two talks were also included from recently completed PIs award works under FY 2020 SC Laboratory announcement (Lab-20-2261), “Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at DOE Scientific User Facilities").
