G. Nicole Magee, Coach
Coach Nicole Magee graduated from Grambling State University with a bachelor of science degree after double majoring in biology and chemistry.  She earned a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of St. Thomas.  Coach Magee continued her coursework and earned a doctorate in ethical educational leadership also from the University of St. Thomas.  Dr. Magee is an instructor in her school’s gifted academy where she focuses on preparing students for a future in STEM.  She is the Science Bowl coach and coding club sponsor. She also works as an instructional coach helping to develop the skills of the next generation of teachers.  Her interests include spending time with her husband and two children, attending art exhibits, concerts, and supporting the Houston Ballet Company and Houston Symphony.

Mahith Gottipati
Mahith Gottipati is an eighth-grader whose interests are science, computer science, and math (specifically synthetic geometry). Throughout his competitive math career, he has excelled in state and national-level Math Leagues, peaking at sixth place in the nation,  the American Mathematics Competition, and MATHCOUNTS.. He is active on Art of Problem Solving, a math website, and enjoys problem writing. He has also written for the revered competitions Online Monmouth Math Competition and Online Youth Math Competition. Outside of competition math, he has placed in chess competitions and aspires to reach a titled level. To balance academics, he plays tennis, basketball, table tennis, and piano.  He plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in computer science.

Annika Mondal
Annika Mondal, an eighth-grader, is passionate about math and science. Her favorite subjects are biology and chemistry. She is the Science Bowl co-president, and a member of the math and ambassador clubs. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton, listening to music, playing the violin, and spending time with her friends. She aspires to work in the genetics field and find gene therapies to cure diseases.

Aanya Singh
Aanya Singh is an eighth-grader who is passionate about math and science. Her interests and hobbies are reading, computers, math, science, piano, and karate. Her favorite book is “Where the Crawdads Sing ''. She is involved in the debate club, National Junior Honor Society, and placed twenty fourth in Texas MATHCOUNTS.  Aanya also was awarded the distinguished honor roll for the American Mathematics Competition. She plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and double major in computer science and computer engineering. An interesting fact about her is that she has a dog and two parakeets.

Ronuk Gadamsetty
Ronuk Gadamsetty is a seventh-grader who is passionate about science and was very curious from a young age. He was always outdoors, observing insects and plants in the backyard. He enjoys being around water and his favorite memory was seeing the bioluminescent plankton in Puerto Rico. In his free time, he plays table tennis and badminton and is active in Boy Scouts and karate. He is involved in the debate club, math and science club and orchestra. He has competed in several science-based competitions, is a two-time Texas Math and Science Competition (The Texas Math and Science Coaches Association ) general science regional champion, and placed among the top ten at The Texas Math and Science Coaches Association state championship. His favorite subjects are anatomy and physiology and astronomy.  He aspires to be a surgeon.

Aditya Puppala
Aditya Krishna Puppala is an eighth-grade student who has always loved math and science. He has participated in the American Mathematics Competition, Texas Math and Science Competition, and Math League. He is in the Gifted and Talented Academy at his school.  His interests and hobbies include flute, piano, coding, reading, debate, volunteer work, and video games. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, honors band, Science Bowl team, debate, piano, and coding club. He dreams of attending an Ivy League for undergraduate studies before going to medical school to become a surgeon.
