Vibha Walia, Coach
Coach Vibha Walia has been an eighth grade science teacher for the past seventeen years whose passion is teaching, technology and science. She has a Ph.D. degree in chemistry. Family and friends are very special to her. Coach Walia enjoys hiking, shopping, watching television and traveling. She loves to spend time with her husband and two sons.

Sohil Rathi
Sohil Rathi is an eighth-grader at Joaquin Miller Middle School. Sohil was part of the team which placed fifth at the 2021 National Science Bowl. He enjoys participating in math competitions and is a United States of America Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO) and MATHCOUNTS State qualifier. Sohil founded OmegaLearn.org to share his love for math and science with others. He has created and taught several free math courses online including American Mathematics Competition eight and ten/twelve. Sohil has a YouTube channel with over one hundred math-related videos. Sohil co-authored “The Book of Mathematical Formulas and Strategies” which can be downloaded from the internet.  When not doing math or science, Sohil enjoys playing basketball and making YouTube videos. His favorite science topic is quantum meso ectology polarization.

Chaaruhaas Kandregula
Chaaruhaas Kandregula is an eighth-grader at Joaquin Miller Middle School. His favorite branches of science are chemistry and physics. Aside from studying science, his favorite things to do are play chess, make origami, and play minecraft. He would like to continue with his passion for chemistry by studying chemical engineering, along with physics and computer science in college and become an engineer. He has a first degree black belt in taekwondo. Apart from Science Bowl, he is a part of Science Olympiad team and placed second in the School Spelling Bee. He enjoys teaching science and chess during school holidays.

Ryan Bansal
Ryan Bansal is a seventh-grader whose passion for math and science is uncountably infinite. He has participated in many contests, such as MATHCOUNTS, American Invitational Mathematics Examination, Broadcom MASTERS national science fair, Science Olympiad, and American Mathematics Competition-Eight. In his free time, he is calculating the trajectory of his basketball shots using his love of physics and then being disappointed when they ultimately miss every time. His favorite subjects in school include math, science, woodshop, and physical fitness if and only if there is jumping involved. Ryan has tried solving the equation of what he wants to be when he grows up with many different variables but has come up with a complex number as the solution. His proudest achievements include winning a running trophy at his school, getting a perfect score on Math Kangaroo in third grade, multiple medals in Science Olympiad, winning his regional Science fair, qualifying for MATHCOUNTS  state twice, and making Science Bowl nationals this year.

Rohil Gupta
Rohil Gupta is an eighth-grader whose interests include biology, saxophone and squash. Rohil plans to attend Lynbrook High School next year and looks forward to continuing squash and saxophone.  Rohil has also picked up programming, and plans on using it with his biological knowledge in conjunction to possibly venture into fields such as bioinformatics.  In free time, Rohil loves to walk his dog, Bruno, and enjoys nursing plants in his backyard.

Wenxuan Vincent Qin
Wenxuan Vincent Qin is an eighth-grader at Miller Middle School. Vincent enjoys earth science, space science, and physics. He is also a member of the Miller Middle School Science Olympiad Team and has gotten first place in many tournaments. In his free time, he likes to play chess and has reached a peak Elo rating of 2038. Vincent plans on taking classes in wave physics and computer science, to push the limits of what computers can do.
