Rajeswari Mani, Coach
Coach Raji Mani has taught chemistry across various grade levels in the past seven years at BASIS San Antonio. She completed her master’s degree in India and came to Iowa State University to pursue her Ph.D. She continued her research at Rutgers University as a postdoctoral researcher. When she is not teaching her students the wonderful world of science, you can find her enjoying a book or cooking up a storm in the kitchen. She enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her husband, son and their rambunctious puppy.
Edward Bao
Eddie Bao is an eighth-grader whose favorite subjects are math, physics, and biology. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, doing math and physics problems, and building electronic circuits. After high school, he would like to study business and physics integrated with computer science. In his free time, Eddie volunteers to clean up the food bank. He also enjoys playing online games, basketball, and working out.
Prajesh Mishra
Prajesh Mishra is a seventh-grader who loves a variety of academic topics. His favorite subjects are math, physics and chemistry. He wants to expand his knowledge of science and he thinks the National Science Bowl is a good place to do that. His hobbies include playing video games, badminton, biking, reading fiction, and solving Rubik’s cubes. He has participated in various math competitions such as MATHCOUNTS, Mathleague, AMC 8, and The Texas Math and Science Coaches Association all of which he has done successfully in.
Vedansh Mannem
Vedansh Mannem is an eighth-grader whose favorite subjects are math and physics. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, watching tv, and doing math. After high school, he would like to study business and economics. In his free time, Vedansh helps other people with math and plays sports. He also enjoys hanging out with friends, going to competitions, and playing chess.
Tanmaya Tito
Tanmaya Tito is an eighth-grade Basis Shavano student. She enjoys all the sciences, but her favorite would have to be life science or biology. Other than academics she enjoys giving back to the community in any way she can. Her strong leadership qualities have allowed her to take an active part and hold office positions in organizations such as Amnesty International. In her free time, she enjoys playing softball.
Aashvi Patel
Aashvi Patel is a sixth-grader interested in math and biology. She has been an active competitor in University Interscholastic League since third grade. She likes to help fellow students with test preparations and assignments. She wants to become a neurosurgeon. Her favorite things to do in her free time are playing volleyball, working on art, and spending time with her friends.
