Townley Chisholm, Coach
Coach Townley Chisholm teaches biology and coaches the crew team. His role in coaching the Exeter Science Quiz Bowl Team is limited to driving them to their annual competition. The students do all the rest by themselves.

Alex Ecker
Alex Ecker is a senior at Phillips Exeter Academy.  His passion for S.T.E.M. originates from peripheral exposure to medicine through his parents' work, but his studies in and out of school have deepened his interests in various scientific fields, from geology to genetics.  When not studying for the National Science Bowl Alex enjoys skiing, playing piano, and cooking (mostly eating) a wide variety of cuisine.
Alan Bu
Alan Bu is a sophomore at Phillips Exeter Academy. His favorite subjects are math, physics, and computer science, though he mostly programs for his own projects and not competitively. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing cards, chess, mahjong, piano, and reading state-of-the-art machine learning papers. Alan has a younger sister. Alan has been doing science bowl since seventh grade when he learned about it from a few friends, and his school team won second in our region last year. His favorite music genres are non generic Electronic Dance Music and jazz.

Neil Chowdhury
Neil Chowdhury is a senior from Bellevue, WA. He is involved with peer tutoring, Math Club, Physics Club, and Chemistry Club, where he helps get students interested in math and science. He is also a programmer on his FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team. His hobbies include programming, biking, playing cello, and playing Minecraft and Call of Duty: Mobile. He will attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall, where he plans to study computer science and physics.

Alexander Morand
Alexander Morand is a senior at Phillips Exeter Academy. This is his third year participating in the National Science Bowl. He is a co-head of his school’s Physics Club and Chemistry Club and is involved with the Math Club alongside being a peer tutor. Alexander is a USA Physics Olympiad and American Invitational Mathematics Examination qualifier and has served as the captain of Exeter’s frequently victorious delegation to the The United States Invitational Young Physicists Tournament. Outside of class he plays varsity tennis and the piano. Next year he will be attending Yale University, studying mechanical engineering and applied mathematics.

Tanya Das
Tanya Das is a senior. She loves SCUBA diving and everything ocean-related and spent the summer researching coral reefs in Bermuda. She was recognized by the Women Divers Hall of Fame. She is also an advocate for educational and environmental bills and a zealous lobbyist, as head of the school environmental clubs and part of several other environmental organizations. Her work with her environmental non-profit was featured on Good Morning America. Tanya plans to major in economics and environmental sociology at Vanderbilt University and pursue a career in law.
