Coach Edward Wang is a parent volunteer who coaches his sons' Science Bowl team.  Coach Wang grew up in Illinois (Libertyville) and attended MIT studying engineering and economics.  Coach Wang works as an independent consultant, mostly in software development.  He has a wife (Susan) and two kids (Joshua and Matthew), both of whom love math and science.  Coach Wang is a fan of the Bears, Cubs, and Bulls.  He also enjoys playing strategy games, whether it is a board game or computer game.

Coach Anu Ramachandrula is an assistant coach for Wisconsin Hills Middle School’s Science Bowl team and is the mother of two kids on the team, Kartik and Vaidehi, and wife to Partha. Coach. Ramachandrula grew up in South India and moved to Europe (Belgium) and finally settled in Wisconsin. She has master’s degrees in science and technology (JNTU - Hyderabad, India), bioinformatics (KU Leuven - Belgium), and engineering (UW Milwaukee - Wisconsin). She has research experience at the Bio-energy Laboratory at UW Milwaukee. She has done several outreach activities to encourage underrepresented students in STEM fields. Coach Ramachandrula has traveled to 25 countries and strives to visit more. She loves cooking and enjoys reading Vedic Astrology.

Joshua Wang is an eighth-grade student.  He enjoys STEM/academic competitions (NSB, Science Bee, MATHCOUNTS, AMC, FTC, F=MA, Quizbowl, etc.).  His favorite subjects are math and physics.  In his free time, he enjoys programming and robotics. He is an avid reader of fiction, science, and math books.  Josh plays tennis competitively.  He also plays the clarinet and ping pong.  During the summer, Josh loves to go to the beach and the family’s lake house in Canada.

Kartik Ramachandrula is a motivated eighth-grade student that aspires to research combinatorial mathematics. He is fluent in one language other than English, Telugu, and is currently learning two other languages, Sanskrit and Latin. Kartik loves to travel and has visited two of the seven wonders of the world: Chichen Itza, and Taj Mahal. He loves music and plays the piano, viola, and the Indian violin. Some sports he likes to play are table tennis, tennis, badminton, basketball, and holds a black belt in Taekwondo. Kartik LOVES math and it’s applied branch, physics. He is inspired by Aryabhatta (an ancient Indian mathematician) and Richard Feynman (American physicist). Kartik also has an adventurous aspect, as he has swum with lemon sharks and manta rays. He has also ridden a manatee and a dolphin, as well as jumped off a ledge into the Caribbean Sea.

Vaidehi Ramachandrula is a seventh-grade student who is fascinated with Astronomy. She loves learning different languages and can fluently speak Telugu. In addition, she is currently learning Spanish and Sanskrit. Vaidehi loves physical activities. She is interested in badminton, Taekwondo, and yoga. She is a black belt in Taekwondo.  Her favorite recreational activity is Indian classical dance (Bharatanatyam), which she has been learning for almost eight years! It’s not only exercise for her, but it also keeps her connected to her culture. She loves having fun and hanging out with her friends! Apart from that, she is also very adept in Carnatic Sangeetham (Indian classical singing). Her goal is to help society. She believes that girls should be encouraged more in the STEM fields. She is a frequent traveler and is very adventurous. She has done everything from riding on dolphins to jumping off cliffs. She has traveled to two of the seven wonders and plans to go to more.

Saathvik Gowda is an eighth-grade student from Wisconsin Hills Middle School. His favorite subjects are biology, social studies, and math. He plays the viola and the piano. Some of his hobbies are playing video games, watching anime, watching YouTube, and playing chess with his little brother. He lives with his mother, father, and little brother in Brookfield. His favorite music is from various video games and anime. His dream is to become a microbiologist or virologist (or maybe Spiderman).

Matthew Wang is a seventh-grade student.  He plays the piano, trumpet, golf, and ping pong.  His favorite subject is science and loves the Science Bee.  In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, skateboarding, Minecraft, Legos, and origami.  During the summer, Matthew also loves to go to the beach and the family’s lake house in Canada.
