Coach Erik Johnson is a science teacher at Middleton High School. He teaches chemistry, physics, and a Project Lead the Way biomed class. He has been teaching science for a while now, and has coached other successful Quiz Bowl teams internationally. However, this is only his second year coaching a Science Bowl team. The students on the team worked hard to convince him to be their coach. How could he say no to such passionate young people?  It has been an honor for him to work with these students this year.

Coach Bruce Koeller is a retired teacher in the Middleton School District.  Coach Koeller has put in quite a few hours over the years getting middle schoolers excited about science. His coaching of these students from seventh grade has really created an incredible program for students that want to learn more and share what they know through competition.  He is excited that the students have made it so far this year.

Trevor Chau is a senior at Middleton High School in Middleton, WI.  He has been involved in NSB since eighth grade, and co-founded the NSB clubs at his high school and middle school.  He has always been highly interested in science, particularly ESS (his main for NSB), and chemistry, the field he will be studying next year in college. Besides science, he is into music (both playing— saxophone and clarinet— and listening to music— mostly classic rock), tennis, and a few fandoms like Star Wars and Transformers.

Jonah Guse is a senior from Middleton High School in Wisconsin. He was one of the founding members of the NSB clubs at his middle and high schools, and has been in the program since eighth grade. NSB encouraged his passion for mathematics, which  he plans to study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison next year. If you ever need a math pun, you can count on him. When he is not doing math, he can probably be found practicing the violin, eating cereal, or playing chess.
