Personal Property Management
The ISC’s Personal Property Management ensures the Department utilizes the most efficient and effective processes in acquiring, managing, and disposing of personal property assets as it conducts its missions. Personnel provide procedural guidance, conduct oversight and periodic management reviews, ensure program expectations are met, and aid in ensuring applicable policies, procedures, practices, and standards are followed.
The vast majority of the Office of Science’s personal property assets are managed by the M&O contractors. Contractor personal property management systems must comply with applicable statutes, regulations, directives, terms and conditions of the contract, maintain a cost-effective, risk-based personal property program, and should conform to good business practices.
