The purpose of this announcement is to inform you of DOE management’s intent to fill an Interdisciplinary Physical Scientist/Computer Scientist GS-1301/1550 13/14 position in the Office of Science (SC), Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR), Facilities Division located in Germantown, MD.  

 

The selected program manager will establish goals and objectives and provide leadership and direction of assigned programs and activities that crosscut the Facilities Division, including the ASCR Leadership Computing Challenge high performance computing allocation program, with national and international scope and impact. 


The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with a broad array of stakeholders external to ASCR in order to understand and synthesize their strategic priorities and the relation of those priorities to the ASCR Facilities. The incumbent monitors the DOE laboratories’ strategic computing and data infrastructure, relevant R&D, and vendor technology roadmaps to identify opportunities and challenges for the ASCR Facilities and its users. The Program Manager will be responsible for synthesizing a wide range of information, including external stakeholder priorities, into insight that informs effective program execution in the ASCR Facilities Division.
