Tucker Marsing is a dedicated educator with ten years of experience in public schools. He currently teaches science in the Y.E.S.S. Program, serving incarcerated students in Salt Lake City, Utah. With a Master of Science in Earth Science and Secondary Education from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Secondary Education from Dixie State University, he brings strong academic preparation and deep pedagogical expertise to the classroom environment. He works extensively with juvenile justice stakeholders and multiple organizations to create comprehensive solutions for the students and communities he serves. He collaborates with community partners such as STEMCAP to bring active science researchers into his classroom. His foundational belief—that all students can learn when obstacles are removed—drives his commitment to fostering lifelong curiosity and preparing students for workforce readiness and civic engagement. He helped establish the first STEM Middle school in Granite School District. He has contributed to the review and development of Utah's SEEd Standards and actively engages with elected officials on education policy, ensuring that educator voices inform legislative discussions and policy decisions.

His work extends far beyond traditional instruction. In addition to teaching full time as an educator, he worked part-time with Switchpoint, 501(c)(3) organization addressing homelessness in Utah. He has collaborated with groups like the Access Fund and Stewardship Utah to help defend access to public lands. His deep concern about hyper partisanship and political polarization informs his commitment to bringing educators and policymakers together around shared values and evidence-based solutions that benefit all Americans, not merely those aligned with a single political perspective.
