Aaron Schuetz

Fellowship Placement: U.S. Department of Energy

Mr. Aaron Schuetz grew up in Minnesota, where most of his family still lives today. He has lived and taught in several different places, and has been in the DC area since 2003 when he became part of the Einstein Fellowship working at the US Department of Energy Office of Science Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists (WDTS). As an AEF, Aaron learned about science and education in this nation, and worked with the Department of Energy to help run programs to encourage people to learn science, become scientists, and support the National Labs that conduct vital and fundamental research around the United States. Aaron is national board certified, on the editorial board for The Physics Teacher, and serves on the review committee for American Institute of Physics’ Statistical Research Center. He teaches AP physics c and AP physics 1 and is department chair at Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA.
