New Website Opens for Competing the Management and Operations Contract of Brookhaven Lab

Today, September 9, 2013, the Department of Energy has initiated the first steps of the acquisition process to compete the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) Management and Operating (M&O) contract by publicly launching a website. The website will be the repository of information related to the BNL competition. Potential offerors and other interested parties are advised to check the website frequently for updates, important announcements and pertinent documents. The website also provides an e-mail address for questions or comments related to this competition.

Brookhaven National Laboratory is a multi-program laboratory, conducting research in nuclear and high energy physics, physics and chemistry of materials, environmental and energy research, non proliferation, neurosciences and medical imaging, and structural biology. The Laboratory operates several Office of Science user facilities, including the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, the Center for Functional Nanomaterials, and the National Synchrotron Light Source II. It also operates the NASA Space Radiation Laboratory and the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Facility. Each year thousands of researchers from across the country utilize these facilities to conduct scientific research.
