- Consortium: HydroGEN is a consortium of nine DOE National Laboratories that investigates all water splitting technologies, including direct photoelectrochemical and thermochemical methods. HydroGEN is part of the DOE Energy Materials Network and is funded by DOE’s HFTO..
- Consortium: H2NEW (Hydrogen from Next-generation Electrolyzers of Water) is a consortium of nine DOE National Laboratories that focuses on making large-scale low- 5 and high-temperature electrolyzers, which produce hydrogen from electricity and water, more durable, efficient, and affordable. H2NEW is funded by DOE’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO) in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).
