Scientists Discover New Magnet with Nearly Massless Charge Carriers

Researchers in the Louisiana Consortium for Neutron Scattering working with colleagues from Louisiana State University, Tulane University, Oak Ridge National Lab, the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Florida State University, and the University of New Orleans are reporting topological behavior in a magnet made of novel quantum materials that results in a substantial reduction in heat production and energy savings.
