Please Note:
The 2021 West Virginia Regional Middle School Science Bowl will be a VIRTUAL event. The competition will be online using Zoom meeting. Each student and coach are required to have a web camera and microphone to participate in the competition.

The second device with a camera must also be on the Zoom call via the Zoom app, to show the student’s workspace and surrounding area during the competition, to help the officials ensure the students and coaches are not breaking any rules. If multiple students are in one location, additional cameras for each student may be required to ensure the workspace of each student can be monitored.

Team Approval Process
A school can register up to three teams, Team 1 (first registered team), Team 2 (second registered team), and Team 3 (third registered team). Teams will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis determined by the date/time stamp when their completed registrations were submitted, with first registered teams taking precedence over second registered teams, and second registered teams taking precedence over third registered teams, with the goal of as many different schools participating as is possible.

  • Eligible first registered teams will be approved to participate as soon as possible after registration is completed.
  • Beginning November 13th and space permitting, second registered teams will be approved to participate.
  • Beginning December 4th and space permitting, third registered teams will be approved to participate.
