Kim Black

Kim Black serves as the Executive Staff Assistant to the Deputy Director for Science Programs (DDSP). Her responsibilities include supporting the seven science program offices that report to the DDSP by providing overall administrative and programmatic coordination and support. This includes monitoring human resources, administrative and financial needs and status; tracking relevant Executive and Congressional correspondence; and maintaining various information archives. She also serves as the Program Manager for the Pathways Internship Program for the Office of Science.

Prior to her position in the Office of the DDSP, Kim was the staff assistant to the Office of the Deputy Director for Resource Management and the Director for the Office of Management supporting overall administrative management for the Office of Science. Before joining the Department of Energy, she served in a variety of positions in other organizations including six years with the Department of the Navy as a Program Analyst.
