Kevin Shaw joined the Office of the Deputy Director for Science Programs as a Program Analyst in September 2007. His responsibilities involve analyzing impacts and evaluating effectiveness of activities used by the Office of Science to satisfy the requirements of legislation, Executive Orders, and DOE policies. Since joining DOE in 1990, Kevin has served in the Office of Nuclear Energy, Office of Environmental Management, the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the Office of Science as: a physical scientist and technical manager in the Space Reactor and Medical Isotope Programs; as a general engineer and Program Director in the Depleted Uranium Program; as a program analyst in the CFO’s Program Analysis and Evaluation organization; a program analyst in the Office of Science’s Planning and Analysis Division. Prior to coming to DOE, Kevin worked as an engineering consultant to the U.S. Navy and IBM, an industrial process engineer for Corning Glass, and served in the U.S. Navy as a naval nuclear engineering submarine officer. Kevin has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Utah, and M.S. degrees in Information Systems and Engineering Administration from George Washington University.
