A Closed-Path Methane and Water Vapor Gas Analyzer
Summary:
This project will develop an economical, robust, and reliable methane and water vapor gas analyzer capable of long-term measurements in remote areas for climate change and environmental research. Such measurements are essential for quantifying the amount of CH4 released from various ecosystems (wetlands, rice paddy and forest etc) and other surface contexts (e.g. landfills, animal husbandry lots etc.), understanding dynamics of atmospheric methane budget and their impact on climate change and global warming.
