IRB Electronic Protocol Submission System

DOE’s IRB Electronic Protocol Submission System (IRB System), is a Huron Click Commerce-based software used by DOE’s Central and Site IRBs for processing IRB applications. PIs submit applications for IRB review via this system, and IRBs can review the applications using this system. Prior to filing applications for IRB review, PIs should contact their IRB Administrator directly for guidance on how to submit to this system. Once PIs have their user names and temporary passwords, they should log onto IRB System.  It is helpful to look at the DOE Library (accessible on the left side of the screen once logged into IRB System), which has information on the DOE Human Subjects Protection Program (HRP-101), an investigator manual (HRP-103), a protocol template (HRP-503 or 900, and others depending on work to be conducted), a consent template (HRP-502 or 901), and many other useful tools for researchers and IRB System members.
